Guru Nanak Dev thought about the welfare of humanity: PM Modi

Prior to Guru Nanak Jayanti celebrated on 4 November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his 'Mann Ki Baat' program that Guru Nanak Dev ji is not only the first Guru of the Sikhs, but also the world-master, who is concerned about the welfare of all humanity. Along with thinking, all the castes were equally told and emphasized women empowerment and women's respect.
The Prime Minister said that Guru Nanak Dev ji traveled 28 thousand kilometers on foot and during this time he delivered the message of true humanity. He communicated with the people, showed them the path of truth, sacrifice and devotion.
Modi said that Guru Nanak initiated anchor which created a sense of service among the people. By gathering the anchor at the gathering, the awareness of unity and equality in people has awakened. Guru Nanak Dev Ji gave three messages of meaningful life - Japa, work hard, do the work of God and help the needy. Guru Nanak Dev ji also composed the 'Gurbani' to speak his point. The PM said that in the year 2019, we are going to celebrate 550th light festival of Guru Nanak Ji.
